Bonnie Regal Trail Scotland

Scotland

Prices from...

£540.00

Bonnie Scotland beckons as we discover the royal
connections from days gone by to our modern Royal
Family as we know it today.
During our tour we will make our way to Edinburgh
for a visit to the Queens official Scottish residence,
The Palace of Holyroodhouse. Situated at the end of
the Royal Mile, the palace is closely associated with
Scotland’s turbulent past, including that of Mary
Queen of Scots. Continuing on in Edinburgh to the
Royal Yacht Brittania, allowing ample time for you to
explore what was once the Queens floating royal
residence for over 40 years. We visit the world
famous Old Course at St Andrews Links, with an
expert guide we will walk in the footsteps of icons
and experience a players eye view of the fabled links,
where golf has been played for over 600 years!
Allowing time to explore the medieval centre of St
Andrews, with its narrow alleys & cobbled streets,
castle & ruined cathedral. A guided tour shows us
around Glamis Castle, known as Scotlands most
beautiful castle & the legendary setting of
Shakespeare’s Macbeth. It was the childhood home
of HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother & the
birthplace of Princess Margaret. We complete our
tour with a visit to Dundee and the Discovery Point to
explore Captain Scott’s ship, RRS Discovery, which
he sailed for his remarkable Antartic expedition. Gain
an insight into the man who captained this historic
adventure at the turn of the 20th century and the
story of life on board for the Discovery crew.
The Green Hotel
Staying at The Green Hotel, Kinross, located on the
banks of Loch Leven, set in an 18th-century
coaching inn, the family-owned Green Hotel is part of
an impressive leisure resort, featuring a selection of
restaurants and 2 golf courses. There is also a
courtyard cocktail bar and gift shop, and the
extensive resort has a leisure club with a swimming
pool and fitness centre located at the Windlestrae
across the road. The guestrooms each have a
satellite TV and a work desk. All rooms have modern
en suite bathrooms and a cosy seating area, and free
Wi-Fi is available throughout. Our stay is on a
half-board basis
