Loire Valley Chateau, Wine & Gardens

Loire Valley France

Prices from...

£0.00

There are so many fairytale castles & palaces in the
Loire Valley that we are simply spoilt for choice, we
have picked out our favourite & paired it with a
traditional wine tour & tasting at the famous Vouvray
wine cellar for good measure! In addition, we have
also included, on this two-centre holiday, “le Grand
Parc” at Puy du Fou. Our first three nights in the
Loire Valley are based at Orleans, and from here we
include a tour to a very different castle - Chateau
Royal De Blois, which harbours secrets of the French
court, wander through the royal apartments and
discover the history, before making your way into the
pretty town of Blois. A guided tour of Vouvray,
famous for its selection of fine wines, at Chateau
Gaudrelle, and of course the all important tasting
session, is followed by a visit to the stunning city of
Amboise and its crowning glory, the Royal Chateau,
with its landscaped gardens, royal apartments and
chapel housing Leonardo da Vinci’s tomb. Our
second base for this tour is in the medieval town of
Niort, and from here we isit to Puy du Fou histotical
park, which hosts a multitude of spectacular
theatrical performances, witness actors dressed as
Vikings emerging from their longboats, sit in the
castle grounds and watch birds of prey display their
skills, watch in wonder as musketeers sweep you
away in a swashbuckling show, or wander through
the typical 1900 market town, a Medieval City, an
18th century village or through the peaceful deer
glade. We also visit Rochfort, famous for the musical
“The Young Girls of Rochfort”. This beautiful 17th
century harbour town with houses adorned with
wrought iron balconies is reminiscent of the Georgian
city of Bath. Allowing free time to explore Niort, with
its houses & buildings dating from the medieval and
Renaissance era, and Donjon Medieval castle & 14th
century Pilori.

overnight Brittany Ferry to St Malo, with an inclusive
