A tour with a great combination of transportation!
During this tour we shall visit the historic city of
Coventry, with its famous Cathedral, and visit the
Museum of British Road Transport, with an array of
memorabilia from the golden age of cars & cycles,
along with the atmospheric moated Baddesley
Clinton House, a sanctuary since the 15th century
with three priest holes and peaceful gardens. A trip
on board “Vagabond”, an elegant vintage motor
launch, along the Grand Union Canal, taking in the
Foxton flight of 10 locks as we pass peacefully
through the countryside. Changing our tracks, as we
head for the Great Central Railway for a nostalgic
steam train ride for 18 miles to Loughborough,
crossing picturesque Swithland Reservoir en route.
Travelling on to Kidderminster, we join the Severn
Valley Railway for a ride along the valley to
Bridgnorth, passing through delightfully restored
stations on the way. Travelling back in time with a
visit to the Black Country Living Museum, allowing
time for you to ride the tram or enjoy a pint in the
Sketchley Grange Hotel & Spa
